SplashData Updates SplashID and SplashPhoto for
Windows Mobile 5.0,
including the Treo 700w
Los Gatos, CA -- April 17, 2006 -- SplashData, Inc., the leading developer of security and productivity applications for smartphones, today announced that SplashID and SplashPhoto, two of the company’s most popular products, now support Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 5.0, the operating system behind popular new smartphones and handheld devices such as the Palm Treo 700w.
SplashID safely and securely stores all kinds of personal identification information, including usernames, passwords, credit card numbers, calling card numbers, bank account data, PINs, medical insurance information, and more. Information is stored in a secure, encrypted format and is quickly accessible on Windows Mobile powered Smartphones as well as desktop computers. SplashID includes both handheld and desktop software, and data is automatically synchronized between the two. SplashID is also available on a site license basis, providing IT managers with a comprehensive password security solution for both desktop computers and mobile devices.
SplashPhoto helps Windows Mobile users to manage and synchronize their photo libraries with a desktop PC. SplashPhoto offers a fast, easy-to-use way to manage digital photos and show them to friends and family. Its one-of-a-kind desktop application enables users to organize image collections into personalized categories and, upon synchronization, the images are arranged accordingly on the Smartphone or handheld.
“SplashData is constantly working to make our applications compatible with every major smartphone and handheld device on the market,” said Morgan Slain, CEO of SplashData. “Both SplashID and SplashPhoto are now optimized for all of the latest Palm OS, Windows Mobile Pocket PC, Windows Mobile Smartphone, Symbian UIQ and Symbian S60 devices.”
“We’re excited to see SplashID and SplashPhoto come to the Windows Mobile 5.0 platform to help our customers stay on top of their personal and professional lives through instant access to their important personal information,” said Daniel Bouie, senior marketing manager, Microsoft Corp. “With more than 18,000 commercial applications, Windows Mobile users have a wide range of choices to customize their device to fit their needs.”
